New Member... Confused?? What Causes the Ringing?

      Tinnitus Since:
      10/2015
      I've had T for about 2 weeks now. It's rather mild, but it is noticeable. My curiosity is this:
      What actually causes the ringing in the ear? Is it the brain imagining this? Is it eardrum damage? What?
      Also my grandfather on my maternal mothers side had T, is this hereditary?

      is your mild T noticed while u are at outdoors also?
