Cause of Tinnitus
Ear Syringing (Acoustic Trauma)
Hey everyone. I posted yesterday a thread on tinnitus after an ear wax removal on both ears. It may have other causes, but the irrigation might have triggered it. I have my right ear inflamed and the doctor prescript me some ear drops with corticosteroids to help it. When I apply it there, i have a funny sensation on the opposite ear.

Anyways, I have been using earplugs when I go outside, mostly while taking public transportation. I am now worried because my left ear started hurting a bit yesterday night, it's tender but I went out this morning without earplugs and I didn't feel the noise too loud. It doesn't hurt when people talk, or when cars pass.

Could it be hyperacusis? How does one know if it is? I have an appointment with an ENT on Tuesday. Should I ask for something specifical? Make an appointment with an audiologist?

Thank you for helping me.

Could you develop more about this tenderness? Especially when you feel this tenderness, do certain sounds like impacted dishes, children screams, horns, or door intercoms, bother you? Do you feel also something moving, like spasms or thumbs? Click sounds? Fullness/tension-like feeling?

There is a possibility that it is about a little muscle in the middle ear.

@Yashin I've been having noise sensitivity these past 2 weeks but it's always on the ear that it feels full on. Every day it's a different ear which is weird. And my face always hurts on the side that my ear is bugging me on. My ears also feel sore even when noise sensitivity is not bothering me. I'm freaked out cause I'm afraid I have hyperacusis. I hope my ears are just infected
