Tinnitus Since

Cause of Tinnitus
Withdraw from xanas
I have had tinnitus for a least 10 years it started when I was withdrawing from benzodiazepines.

It went down to a dull roar after a while but I woke up2 weeks ago both ears blocked and my t was screaming.

My ears were loaded with wax I can hear now went to ENT. I work in a loud environment. Never protected my ears. I do now. I wear my hearing aids now and I am doing everything to protect my ears. I will be seeing a audiologist June 14. I have anxiety and panic over this.

Since I found this forum I have hope it will get better.

Welcome @Mrfrooto1967 !

Hope you will get support here and your T returns to be quieter.

Could you please expand more on what you mean "down to a dull roar" and how long time is "after a while"?
It's interesting to read that your tinnitus started with a withdrawal from a benzodiazepines and went down, because mine started once when I was on benzodiazepines and second time it worsened x5 times from benzodiazepines withdrawal.

I don't recall how long it took but mine went down Ware I didn't even notice it. What iam struggling with right now is sleep . I can go to sleep but I wake up after 4 or 5 hours I am in my 3rd week of this new spike .
