Hi, I'm new here but this forum seemed interesting so I decided to post. I've had T for about 15 years now.
So, I had a chat with my colleague at the office today; he stood behind my back as I was sitting in the chair. We had a lively conversation and as a conclusion to a decision he made, he decided to clap his hand forcefully together only 5 inches away from my right ear. BOOOM. Since I do have hyperacusis, it felt like a world ending sonic boom and you can guess the rest...
But (strangely) my T did spike, but only for 2 seconds. The worst part is that my hearing seems muffled in that ear; it feels that I've lost some high frequencies. It's been 6 hours since it happened, and my hearing is feeling different. Maybe a temporary threshold shift; or permanent - who knows?!
Do you have any advice; what to do or expect?
Kim
