Cause of Tinnitus
unknown, started the moment I woke up from a nightmare.
Ok, I am gonna ask this straight.

Did any of your ENT use a stethoscope to determine whether you have normal tinnitus or pulsatile tinnitus?

So it seems most don't use it, how else can they determine whether T is PT or not?

Is it possible that they were never trained for Objective T?

A stethoscope isn't used to diagnose Tinnitus of any kind , to my knowledge

There is no true way to diagnose this stuff. Regular Tinnitus is either constant ringing or fluctuating ringing. Pulsatile Tinnitus is in and out ringing that matches your heartbeat. It's that simple. What does it matter? What are you experiencing?

Have you seen any improvement at all since your onset after the nightmare that night? What have your doctors said when you explained to them what happened?

I feel my kettle sound T goes up and down slightly all the time, in rhythmic way - so I am not sure if it's PT or not. In my knowledge, stethoscope is used to diagnose objective T.

A stethoscope only makes sense if a patient describes a pulsatile tinnitus.
In this respect, doctors who are not given this information are excused.

But new patients haven't been tinnitus experts all their life, when i went there I didn't know of the types of T - what i said to doctors that my kettle whistle sound goes up and down all the time in rythmic way but they didn't use a stethoscope still.
