      Listening to loud music w earbuds & recent ear irrigation
      Mine is constant. If I have a noisy day, it’s louder than usual for a few hours. Then when I get back to my nice quiet home, it dies back down to a bearable level.

      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Brain Stem injury due to over-ambitious yoga stretch
      Mine cranks into overdrive immediately upon waking (that's if I have slept). I am forced out of bed and try to get busy asap. The PT often lessens a little but I think this is more due to distraction. At the end of the day the PT often gives way to a more constant loud waivering hissing which can be even more distressing. Pretty demoralising as when I first got PT 5 years ago it would fade out around nightfall and I could enjoy silent peaceful evenings.

      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Unknown Pulsatile Tinnitus
      Mine is intermittent in that I can only hear the pulse in my left ear when I am in certain positions e.g. stooping, leaning forward, leaning my head to the left or right, and sometimes while lying down. If I sat or stood upright I just wouldn't hear it.
