      Hi everyone.

Just posting to see if anyone has any experience similar to this.

My T arrived 6 weeks ago, seems to be the one steady tone. However when I exercise it begins to feel like it's pulsing to my heartbeat. Only happens when I start to exhert myself, then it calms down when I begin to relax.

Anyone have any similar experiences? It's really making me not want to exercise....

      Hi, Eldudebro,

I have constant pulsatile tinnitus myself, and when my PT first started, it was really bad during strenuous exercise. Now, it has calmed down so that, during exercise, it does not increase.

Here's a great article from the BTA (British Tinnitus Association) about pulsatile tinnitus. It says that the noise you're hearing during exercise is caused by increased blood flow throughout the body. Your tinnitus has made your ears more sensitive to internal sounds, hence the pulsating noise.

It's very strange. Why it's only pulsatile when I am excercising. Perhaps it's down to bloody pressure increasing. Who knows.

I'm going for a mri scan soon, hopefully that rules out something insidious.

      Eldudebro,

I'll be interested to hear the results of your MRI scan. Pulsating isn't necessarily a dangerous condition; for most of us, it is not.

Take care, and please update us here when you've completed your MRI.

      Best wishes,
      Karen

      Welcome @eldudebro to this forum.
This pulsing-T is not a lot of fun.

I hope your exercise has some good results despite the T issue.
Next year, (I think I said that last year), I'll devote more time to exercise.
I sure would like to find a way to loose a few lbs and feel better.
