If I press my mastoid bone (bone behind the ear with tinnitus) the tinnitus stops... why is this?

No one here knows. Make a device that attaches to your skull and presses on it all the time. Problem solved.

Maybe you're adjusting pressure on the auditory nerve or blood vessels. Have you asked an ENT or neurologist? Has it always done that?

Very interesting indeed. Yeah I would ask an expert about that, perhaps there is hope for you to cure it immediately.

      Cause of Tinnitus:
Mastoid or dbl mastoid ehen I was 2years old
Maybe somehow there is damage to the tubes connecting the ears and throat [eustachian tubes] or mastoid bone was infected like mine was.
My tinnitus seems like it's always been there.

So you might have tmj. I believe that might be a treatable cause of tinnitus, so maybe you should get checked out for that.

@WaqasVic have you looked at TMJ or Mastoiditis as a cause of your T?
