      Don't know
It's been hard to sleep. The noise is so loud. I can hear my heartbeat so loud. It's awful.

I went to the doctor and I'm fine.

How could I be fine if I hear this awful noise?

He got close to my ear and he could hear it too. That is how loud it is.

Let me add, I just found out I'm pregnant and it is not helping.

What can I do? I noticed that when I lose weight, it gets more calm. When I wake up, it's calm as well. I find myself massaging my neck.

I wish I could just figure this out. If I cry about it, it gets louder...

Is there a doctor anyone can recommend? I'm in the Houston TX area, and desperate.

      Several reasons
I have pulsatile tinnitus in my left ear, though I can only hear it when it's quiet, or if I'm stressed, or if my blood pressure is spiking.

Losing weight and getting your blood pressure under control can help. I don't know of any specific doctors, but you may want to read through this page:

Side note: If you're drinking energy drinks, I would stop. That was a big problem for me. I loved having a Monster or two in the mornings to wake me up, but after some experimentation I found they were spiking my blood pressure and leading to louder tinnitus.
