I was diagnosed with Pulsatile Tinnitus about a year and a half ago, but have had it for about eight years. It's constant, in my right ear only, and seems to get worse at times without any particular reason before going back to its usual, steady whoosh. Like a lot of you, if I press on certain spots on my neck, the sound fades almost to nothing.

I was diagnosed with TMJ a year ago, had a type of surgery for it, and I hoped it would fix my tinnitus, but it didn't.

I now get kind of mild burning pains in my neck and behind the ear. I get random "icepick headaches" which are pretty terrifying, and too short lived to medicate and too random to predict.

I had a CT scan with contrast sometime ago, which showed nothing. I'm going to an ENT again next week, although I'm not sure that's what I need.

It's nice to know there are other people who have this, and I'm not alone with it. It causes so much anxiety some days I can't function at all, and no one really understands how it is because they have not experienced it. I'm always secretly worried I might die from whatever is causing it, even if that seems silly.
