I was shocked to discover my hearing to be much more damaged than the hearing tests show. ENT just overlooked it, relying on their shitty test.
My left ear is not able to hear a loud pure tone between 10khz and 10.8khz. The threshold I can just guess: 50db. Below and above my hearing is fine.
What I don't understand is that this hearing loss is so small in frequency (not even 1khz) and so profound.
Has anybody a similar pattern?
What can be the origin? I supposed SSHL, but I'm sceptical because aren't those broader (at least 3 khz)?
I didn't find any similar audiograms.
I've had no noticable sound distortion and no hyperacusis.
Any ideas are appreciated.
