First of thank you very much for your previous answer i am very grateful that you took the time to write such a detailed response.
My question is will constantly masking my ears with white noise or such not lead to further hearing damage? it currently is pretty annoying but since i have had mild tinnitus since i was young i think i am on the fast track to becoming habituated with this new level of sound. I would mask it as long as it would not lead to my tinnitus worsening later down the road.

The volume of "white noise" typically used in wearable tinnitus maskers is not loud enough to cause auditory damage.
