Really Good Advice! Time for You to Feel Better.

Hey everyone!

It's time to feel better its time to live your life. Do not let tinnitus kick your ass. You have it inside you to move on and make a life for yourself. Straight up fuck tinnitus its just a damn word. Make it whatever you want and re-name it. I have T pretty damn loud and I go to work and come home finally a normal feeling person. It took a while but I habituated to the point to where in honestly do not give two shits about T. Please I am telling you it will either go away or you will habituate to the point where it is like its suppose to be there and you will not be bothered by it. Please give it time and you will heal I promise!!!

 

Thank you so much! That is a great description for habituation..I keep hoping I don't have to "talk myself into it', I hope it just feels like it is supposed to be there! I think I feel moments like that..so hopefully they get to be bigger moments! Thanks again!

Mike did you have hearing loss too?

 

No hearing loss that they could find.

 

How loud was your tinnitus?
Unfortunately I have severe hearing loss lt ear
And loud tinnitus, I can hear it while on jet plane
I wonder how long will it take me to habituate?
It's been 3 long months of hell!

3 months is a while, but not in T terms. I was a wreck until about last month and I'm doing a lot better. I still have my days, but better.

Are you deaf in the one ear or can you get a hearing aid? Hearing may be instant relief for you.

 

Mike I am severe hearing loss lt ear, hearing aid increase volume but not clarity and did not relieve my tinnitus, how long have you had tinnitus before habituation?

 

About 6 months.

 

I am hoping that in 6 months I will feel better too!

Eventually you will harden yourself to it. Whether it goes away or not. You will get to the point where you won't give a shit about it, but you have to let it happen.

I understand your worry and I've been there.

You will get better most of us do and there is a million people who had/have T who used to be on the forum and left because they are much better now.

 

Good to hear that , could not sleep at all last night, feel crappy this am, even after taking Remron and Xanax, very loud tinnitus this am !

 

Hang in there Dominic. -- It does get better slowly but surely. -- I recommend a healthy diet and exercise.

 

Thanks John, since my SSHL my T remains loud and I can hear it over everything. My only improvement has been my anxiety, I can now concentrate despite hearing the loud hisssseeeeeee

I can hear two tones today.... One low and one shrill.....maybe its time to take some valium at night...it always drives it down... I dont know how long I will have to do this....I am trying a clinic in Cleveland to see the dentist and see if he can help...

I had a day when my T did improve and I was hoping to improve but it was short lived
T is loud today, left work early sitting at home reading success stories !
