Ryaltris contains two active ingredients:
  1. Olopatadine hydrochloride – an antihistamine that helps relieve allergy symptoms by blocking histamine receptors.
  2. Mometasone furoate monohydrate – a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the nasal passages.
Has anyone who uses Ryaltris noticed any negative effects on their tinnitus or hyperacusis?

I used straight Mometasone Furoate nasal spray. I can't guarantee it was the cause of my symptoms over what might have happened naturally, but it definitely gave me extreme anxiety, and my newly onset tinnitus spiked massively from a 2 to a 10. However, since stopping the spray, my tinnitus has gradually gone down to a 1.

I also developed hyperacusis while using it, but again, I can't guarantee the spray was the cause—though my hyperacusis disappeared when I stopped. Unfortunately, I now seem to have noxacusis.

I should clarify that I'm fairly sensitive to medications. For example, antihistamines make me feel depressed if I take them for more than a few days, even though that wasn't listed as a side effect. That said, quite a few people report anxiety as a side effect of Mometasone Furoate online if you check the reviews on drugs.com.

So, short answer: if you need it, try it. I'm guessing I'm in the minority, as it's a fairly common medication, but be on the lookout for any changes.

Hi man,

Hopefully you are doing well. Im going through almost exactly the same thing now. I started momentasone 2 months ago and ended it in early march. It has been over a month and I still have the extreme loud pitch peep in both ears. I play it cool to friends and family but have been crying at night. This is the first time I see someone combining momentasone to the things im feeling now and Im so relieved in a way that im not completely ignored. As my doctor and ear specialist say that what im feeling is unheard off. I sprayed it completely wrong now looking back on it. How long did it take for it to gradually fade?

Kind Regards, Steven
