      hi,

THANK YOU for previous reply. I was given ear drops last time with neomycin in them. Prior to that ciprofloxin drops and now the sofradex.
Are there any safe drops that can be used as I appear to have constant ear infections with horrid tinnitus now. Are the consequences of the ototoxicity permament.

As long as your eardrum is intact, even eardrops with ototoxic components should be OK when used as prescribed.

On the other hand, if your eardum is not intact, I personally wouldn't recommend using any eardrops of any kind without your doctor's approval.
