Last night my neck muscles were so tight and this cream was the only thing I found that could have relieved some of my suffering-it was 40% methyl salicylate. I placed this cream all over the back of my neck, but not in huge globs.

In the morning my low frequency hearing was down again, with little change in the highs. I also did not have an increase or change in my high pitched T, just a slight return of the normal high pitched T tones in my left ear.

But I am still worried this could have done something after a single exposure?!

@fhs

Seems plausible, but for high dose, long term aspirin (oral) I would think. Topical probably not, because not all of it will reach the bloodstream, and I did this only once, with a not really high dose. I think anything that has inflicted tinnitus once has already done some kind of irreversible damage, but on a small scale.
