Cause of Tinnitus
Progressive hearing loss / noise / ETD
Before getting the T I never had this much sound sensitivity. It's not a huge amount of sound sensitivity but it's enough to be noticeable. Or maybe it could be I'm just subconsciously afraid of sound now? Has anyone else experienced this?

oh yes,me too,its hyperacusis, not much, but noticeable like for example when i wash the dishes.started with the tinnitus, would say same day even-6 months ago.when it started it was waaaaay worse, even normal tv was too loud.and remember: my tinnitus is NOT noise induced!
and: tensor tympani, fluttering in the middle ear when i hear certain sounds or touch the side of my face

@derpytia Sometimes I wonder if it is hyperacusis or anxiety over sounds in an uncontrolled environment too. I definitely feel pain and fullness when plates clang, children scream, brakes screech etc. However, my heart pounds when I hear loud noises even with ear plugs in, and sometimes, in the safety of my room. I think the latter reaction is unhealthy and sometimes, I feel trapped.

I have this...do you know if it can go away eventually?

It may be hyperacusis but i know in my case it was a lil of that and my mind. Because i was soo concern about my T i was sensitive about loud noises because i felt like my T would get louder if I was expose to it.

yes I do believe that my mind has a key role in my "reactive tinnitus"
