Should I Avoid Antioxidants (e.g., NAC) After Radiation / X-ray?

      Tinnitus Since:
      2008, then 2020
      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Noise exposure
Does someone know if and for how long one should avoid taking antioxidants after being exposed to radiation, e.g. Orthopantomogram (OPG), Computed Tomography (CT)?

I'm having TMJ issues causing me to need such procedures being done now.

I usually take NAC and/or Nicotinamide Riboside if exposed to noise (which has been happening quite a lot of days lately.)

I have read that some damaged cells dies within hours (apoptosis) but that some other cells are damaged after a longer time. I am afraid to interfere with this mechanism and cause cells that are already too damaged and should die, only to be saved by antioxidants taken after the radiation event.

      Thank you for any input
