Normally when I apply pressure to the side of my head my tinnitus increases, but once I release my hands from my head my tinnitus is gone for a few seconds.
But when I'm having a spike I can't do this. No increase when applying pressure and also no relief when releasing.
What is it that makes a spike different to normal baseline tinnitus as for this to happen?
