January 22nd is the deadline for nominations for the 2019 STAT Madness Bracket. If you can think of any researchers who published I'd recommend reaching out to them. I reached out to Dr. Rauschecker's team though I'm not sure he published a peer-reviewed paper this year. Just thought I'd mention it after all the fun we had last year...

I think last year the resulting article was more or less underwhelming. I felt great disappointment after all the work you guys had put in, so wonderfully guided by @OnceUponaTime's whip.

It just wasn't investigative or in-depth at all, I remember people saying many of our members could have done a better job and it's hard to disagree with that.

That said, publicity is publicity and with tinnitus we obviously have a dire need for it, so even if the article leaves wanting, it might again be worth it for @OnceUponaTime to ready her whip.

Agree, last year's article was very underwhelming. For an area that is in such short supply of resources, we never know when the right person will read something that leads to a breakthrough of some sort in funding, etc.

Thanx for reacing out to him Watasha. Did you sent him a link of last years winner?? Did you tell him we will back him up and do as much as we can with the voting??

Give me names and I can reach out to them.

Would be incredibly great if we can win 2 years in a row. Would definitely send a strong message from the tinnitus community that we need a cure now.

I can't think of any off the top of my head... part of the stipulation is having something peer-reviewed and published in 2019, didn't realize that when I reached out.

I did tell them that Shore/Michigan had a very strong backing from the community and likely would again this year if they entered.

So true. Hey, I'm ready!
