Strange Short Spikes, Followed by Quiet

Since yesterday I have had 3 very short spikes, less than 10 seconds generally, but it literally feels like there is something in my ear, or my ear feels shallow, during these spikes. My regular tinnitus also seems to get quieter after them. Does anyone know what this is?

My regular tinnitus I would say is 2/10 but the spike is at least a 7/10. So I'm kind of worried but also kind of relieved because for the last couple days my tinnitus has been between 0.5-2 in terms of loudness.

I hear that's not uncommon whether you have tinnitus or not but we tend to notice it more because of the tinnitus. I experience it myself as does my wife who says she's been noticing it for years. If you continue to be concerned, I would consult a doc.
