For the last 6 weeks I have had tinnitus. My tinnitus is low and mostly in left ear. As far as I can tell, my tinnitus is because of stress.
Just a couple of days after I got it, I went to the doctor and he said I shouldn't worry, and that it will most likely go away. Since then I have been very careful around sound. It has become somewhat lower, but I think it's only because I have stopped with caffeine. Also if I am influenced by nicotine, it is impossible for me to hear my tinnitus.
I have recently read that you should ask for steroids as soon you get it. But I don't know if it is too late for me now. Right now I am just really anxious and wondering what to do so it hopefully goes away.
I am extremely grateful for any advice
