Sudden Noise of Painting Dropping onto the Floor (I’m Worried It Might Make My Tinnitus Worse)

I am a high school student.

Until now, I was cautious about protecting my ears but today my teacher accidentally dropped a painting near the floor and leaning against the wall. I was right next to the painting. My left ear was facing that side. Luckily, the painting was already on the ground, it didn't fall from the hill. Still, it was a loud voice.
Can this leave a permanent spike?

I can't do anything to the loud sounds that suddenly occur and that annoys me. I'm really sad and worried. I've got a college exam this year, and it looks like everything wants to ruin this year.

Truly anything can leave a permanent spike, but in the end most of these spikes tend to be temporary. How long ago did it occur? It can take some months to go away, so be sure to protect from further noise exposures the best you can.
