Sudden Whistling Sensation and Worsening Left-Ear Tinnitus After Eating Crunchy Foods

Since Saturday, and today is Tuesday, whenever I eat partially crunchy foods, I get a whistle in my left ear when I bite down. After that, my ear feels wet.

I have had bilateral tinnitus for nearly three years now, but since Saturday, the tinnitus in my left ear has become much worse.

Hey, another member of the wet ear club. We are seemingly a rare breed.

The whistle could be coming from your Eustachian tube, depending on whether we are talking about an airy whistle or squeak, or a tinnitus squeal. In the first case, you could try some saline nasal spray, or a steroid spray if you are willing to risk something a bit stronger.

Apart from that, I am afraid there is not a lot to do. You may need to wait it out and hope it improves with time. I have never had an acceptable answer as to whether it is a nerve response or actual fluid.
