Friends, for the last few days my tinnitus has gradually eased off! It has been so quiet for several hours each day that I can hardly tell it is there! Oh dear lord the relief! I cannot tell you how happy I am!

I still get the odd hours where it rages but it is far better for now.
      I am so happy again.
I know it may not last but it gives me hope! To sit and just experience the peace of a room is priceless. PLEASE let this continue! Not sure when i will get back on here

That's awesome to hear. How did you get it in the first place? Did it just appear out of nowhere?

Congratulations! Do you remember how long you've had it/what the cause was?

I'm at 6 weeks today with noise-induced in my right ear only, and hoping for it to go.

      hello friends.
I just wanted to update you guys on my situation.
Since i last was able to post i have had an MRI scan on my ears and brain and the very good news is
that i do NOT have acoustic neuroma ! And my brain is fine .
      What a relief !
I still have the T BUT over the last couple of weeks it has just about gone away for several hours on several occasions ! The peace was wonderful and i niw hope that the T will one day go away for good.
At other times the T is raging but it no longer bothers me ! I coukd not care less about it and I am living again ! I am happy . I read , watch tv , laugh and am feeling better ! I am glad to be alive !
Yes I can still hear the noise often but it means nothing to me now The change happened suddenly for me
The only thing bugging me is the TMJ pain in my jaw and ears . It is horrible .
So that is whst has happened !
Cheers hope you are all well

      Hello,

I have reactive tinnitus like you. 3 months have passed but no improvement has occurred.

How are you now? Does the ringing continue?

Not sure if the earlier authors are visiting this forum nowadays. This is an old post.

Is your - emotional - reaction to the tinnitus different now than 3 months ago? The sound that you are experiencing might not change much, or seem to change much. But your response will surely change, and that in time will change the tinnitus itself, making it less intrusive, and less able to grab your attention.
