The Military Will Test a New Terrifyingly Loud Noise Gun

Our tax dollars at work. Meanwhile, more than 20% of children in the United States live in families with incomes below the poverty level, and over 15 million children live in "food insecure" households. In other words, they're frequently hungry because there's not enough food.

We sure do have our priorities straight. :banghead:

That's because the US government sucks and if you ask me it certainly isn't "by the people, for the people" anymore. They don't care about citizens; haven't for decades.

If it weren't for US military spending, then the #1, #2 and #3 military bankrolls in the world would be China, Russia and Israel. Say whatever you want about the US; that's not a world I want to live in. 'Democracy' here is far from the perfect idealized dream which is sold to high school kids, but the degree of personal freedom and autonomy that you have in the US is something which people in most of the world drool over. Yes, you can find plenty of examples of places which seem to have a better deal -- I'm looking at you, Scandinavia -- but those countries are all much, much smaller than the US -- and, in general, even more xenophobic.

Will this terrifying new sound ray cause hearing damage? Probably, but so do bombs and guns. Putting down dissent with nonlethal weapons appears to be an improvement over drone bombing weddings and all the other wonderful things our foreign policy excels at.
