I see people talking a lot about hyperacusis or spikes who are suffering with tinnitus. Everyone is different when it comes to tinnitus.

Don't know if my question makes sense but if anyone can answer thanks.

If someone has tinnitus from noise trauma and have hearing loss, or someone took ototoxic medication and have tinnitus but also got hearing loss.

Who will be more sensitive to noise? Or get spikes more easily.

Both or the the one from noise trauma?

I believe a person that acquired noise trauma to the auditory system will be more sensitive to sound, especially if they also have hyperacusis which is often the case. This is just a personal belief.

You are showing signs of hyperacusis. Please do not start overusing hearing protection as this is likely to make your symptoms worse. My post: Hyperacusis, As I see it, has suggestions that will hopefully help you.

All the best
