      Tinnitus Since:
      Sept 2018
      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Glue ear
In September 2018 I developed a cold and during the cold I developed glue ear in both ears and developed tinnitus in both ears.

I went to an ENT two months after I was diagnosed with Glue Ear and the ENT didn’t really do much other than say to me that it’s just a waiting game to see if it clears.

It’s now 6 months and I still have the popping sound in my ears and tinnitus. I am a bubbly happy person but since getting tinnitus it’s really changed me. I am always sad, depressed that this could be permanent.

I am writing to ask anyone reading this, are there any success stories about glue ear and tinnitus? What was your treatment if you had glue ear? I am worried that if I have grommets placed in both ears my tinnitus will get worse or even louder? I just couldn’t cope with that.

Am I going to be like this forever...?
