Tinnitus for Over 30 Years

I have had high pitched Tinnitus for over 30 years. In the beginning, I only hear it when I was in a quiet environment but for the last 10 years I hear it all the time.

Lately I noticed that I am having more trouble hearing conversations.

Early this week, I had my hearing tested and as I thought my voice and word recognition has declined to the point that I need hearing aids.

The good news is that the hearing aids will be able to decrease the volume of my tinnitus.

Hello @FL Grandma ! I am a grandma too! Do you have your hearing aids now? I have a complete loss of hearing in one ear and I tested for a Cros hearing aid but it wasn't helpful. My mother has worn hearing aids for decades and she benefits greatly by using them. Welcome to the forum and please, let us know how things are going. Great to have someone with your experience on board!
