      Tinnitus Since:
      12/2002
Does T frequency generally align with the range of hearing loss? Always had poor hearing in my right ear due to conductive hearing loss as teenager. But since my last surgery a few weeks ago, high-end hearing really took a hit after about 3 khz and then slopes right off. Unsurprisingly, my T is now louder and worse since the high-end hearing hasn't "woken up" yet post-surgery. Seems pretty deductive (i.e. lose lots of hearing in the 3 khz - 6 khz range --> gain extra T in this range)

Will consider hearing aid if it doesn't recover on its own (only been 5 weeks post op and doc says it takes a few months for hearing to recover from the major surgery I had). Was just curious whether T frequency tends to correlate with the frequencies where hearing loss is most severe
