When my T first appeared I only heard it in my right ear. the pressure/stiffness in my jaw appears on both sides now when I sleep or randomly throughout the day. For some reason I think the T is suddenly coming from my left ear too even though there is no hearing loss there. The noise also appears when I'm in certain areas like my 2nd floor lounge area at college. :(

I am a bit worried. I thought that tinnitus only hit my right ear.

It's not that rare to first notice tinnitus in one ear and then later on in the other. Hearing loss - not required.

From the Tinnitus Survey (which is still open for answers):

Almost 20% say it started in one ear and later went to the other ear.

Predictions are impossible to make though. Who knows what part the pressure/stiffness plays. There's just no way of saying for sure how (if at all) you will perceive your tinnitus in, say, 6 months.

Try your best to live a regular life and take your mind off tinnitus as often as possible. Easier said than done, I know.

      Best wishes

I notice it more at night. During the day I can deal with the T but at night it's so annoying
