Unfortunatly it seems as if I have tinnitus in two ears now. For 4 months I have had constant ringing in my right ear. I have gotten used to it, and the cause of it is definently hearing loss.

Now there seems to be a very low morse code beeping in my left ear. This all started on my vacation at the beach. I have had 2 hearing exams in the past and all results show that my left ear is okay.

What could have caused the T in my left ear? Ocean, toothpaste, or loud noises?

My real concern and disappointment is now having to deal with two noises, beeping in the left and constant in the right :(

It sometimes fades away but I am still nervous right now. Hopefully it's only temporary.

@Ben Jubel , hey sorry about the t in your left ear. If you're using any toothpaste with Potassium Nitrate, it does aggravate T. sensodyne spikes mine.

Yes it might just be the toothpaste. Will the effect go away soon?

      The toothpaste issue.
Now I'm searching the web for Non- Potassium Nitrate toothpaste?
I didn't realize such things can effect Tinnitus.

      Merry Christmas.

Hi James Merry Christmas, the one that's available at our organic store is a " green beaver" brand, it has no sodium laurel sulfate, no triclosan, no flouride etc.

@Ben Jubel , yes usually the effect goes away in about 8 hours, so don't worry.

@Ben Jubel yes frustrating indeed, but do try not to think too much about it, enjoy the vacation time with your parents and try to remain distracted. Do please drink Magnesium Citrate at bedtime , helps a lot... A good night's sleep , plus it has lowered my T volume a lot.

I am sorry to hear that you have it in two ears now, I have had it in both my ears since it started about 9 months ago. But it will start to get better as you get more used to it, it used to drive me crazy and I was constantly rubbing my ear and trying to mask the noise but now I can tune it out by not thinking of it as much. Also cute dog in the picture if that is yours :)
