Hi there. I’ve had tinnitus for about a month now. It came on out of nowhere and is rather odd.

It tends to make its noise over the top of other sounds. So, voices do it, and also if the wind blows in my ear.

I’m unsure why this might be and I can’t find much else on the internet about it.

I do have TMJ on both sides and the pitch does change when I press certain parts of my head.

Sometimes I latch on to tinnitus and it drives me mad, but it’s the overlaying that’s odd. It sounds like it’s right on my drum. Not far in my head at all.

      Any idea???

It sounds like reactive tinnitus (a type of tinnitus that is worsened during & after exposure to moderate levels of sound). I get it while riding my scooter. The sound actually fluctuates to the speed & the amount of wind blowing through my helmet.
