I just started with Tinnitus about 2 months ago. Everytime the noise would start I got very dizzy for a few seconds, went to doctor & he looked in both ears & said go to specialist, $ 85.00. I do not want to start that route of going all over & getting no results. I asked about Miclezine & he said OK. Now I still have the noise but the dizziness has gotten better, only a spacey feeling in my head for a few seconds. Anyone have this & any suggestions?

T can come due to many reasons. Ear clog, Trauma, Loud music etc... Do you know if any of these could have started your T??

I had to get an MRI since my T was either due to assault or Ciprodex ear drops. Ear mri came back normal, brain MRI came back normal, just some fluid in one area so it might have caused my T, but not sure yet.

There is no cure for T, well depends, if you have clogged ear or wax buildup then that can be cleaned and your T will go away. If T was due to medications it could take months or even year or 2 for T to go away, NAC pills help too.

If T was due to Trauma or loud music, gunshot sound, then you probably will have it for rest of your life but you never know it could still go away.

      Good luck.

I can't pinpoint what caused it. One morning I heard a static type noise in my left ear, it only lasted a few seconds this happened about 3 or 4 times that day. I heard nothing else for a week or two. Then the noise returned & lasted about 3 min. & has returned everyday since about every 10 min & lasting for about 5 secs. I can put up with the noise, it is the dizziness that comes with it. The dizziness has gotten better but now it is a feeling of like I'm a little spacey in my head only lasting about 4 secs. Don't know what to try.

If you are feeling dizzy, docs can prescribe you medications and if that doesn't help then you might need a brain MRI to see what else is going on. MRI is about 45 minutes long, and you rest in a machine with headphones listening to music.

I got my MRI last week for the first time and it wasn't that bad. I was listening to music. I got a little itcy a few times and couldn't move while the machine was making sounds, but you get a break every 10 minutes or so for 20 seconds or so.

      It could be meniere's disease.

I get that feeling too. I first got it about 5 years ago, had a cat scan and was told it was Left Sided Maxillory Sinusitis , and was treated with Nasonex, which worked. I had it for a few weeks but no tinnitus. Had it again a few years later, and it went again. Got it back 2 months ago, on and off, could last for hours, then the tinnitus started.

Obviously I can't garuntee it is the same feeling, but spacey is how I would describe it.

Meniere's? That's pushing it way too far since the author mentioned that the dizzy sensation lasts for like 4 seconds.
It sounds more like BPPV or some mild ear problem that causes some vestibular dysfunction.
