Tinnitus Spike — How to Tell One Is Coming?

Hello everyone,

1. I would like to set up this thread for our members to share their knowledge/experience as to how to recognize that a new tinnitus spike might soon strike.
   
   
2. In addition, what types of sound impacts or other events (ototoxicity) do you feel are the most frequent causes of your tinnitus spikes (a loud door shutting, phone ringing, other e.g.)?

It is understandable that all this is individual but hopefully some of the suggestions shared here might prove to be helpful to someone else – and that is invaluable.

All pointers welcome – gut feelings, body warning signals, time expectations, etc.
