Tinnitus Spike After Starting Amphetamine for ADHD

Hello,

I was recently prescribed Amphetamine for ADHD. I think it may be causing a spike in the noise from my tinnitus. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, did your tinnitus return to its usual level after you stopped taking the drug? If it did, how long did that take?

It is possible that something else caused the spike, but I know that tinnitus is a listed side effect of Amphetamine.

Amphetamine is similar to caffeine when it comes to increasing tinnitus awareness. You may need to weigh the pros and cons of the medication and decide if you can manage the perceived level.

I drink a lot of caffeine and have accepted that my tinnitus will probably spike when I use it. I hope you can find a way to manage the trade-off comfortably.
