Good evening, I’ve had tinnitus for about a year, and have had plenty of ups and downs since then, more downs of course.

I recently started using Epsom salts for bad feet and it seems to help them.

Unfortunately, after using it this morning, coincidence or not, but my tinnitus is much louder.

Has anyone had this experience? Thank you very much.

They do say that sodium may increase your tinnitus but I always assumed that meant consuming it orally. Perhaps it penetrates through the skin?

Salt and Sugar will make mine spike-up. I think its related to blood pressure as I basically listen to my blood flow but at 7500hz all day. Epsom Salts do penetrate the tissues and so could be raising your blood pressure enough to cause more T noise.

Did you take this internally, or did you do some kind foot bath? If you did some kind of a bath, they can mobilize toxins in the body as their drawn toward the skin by the epsom salts. Any increase in toxicity in the body can result in increased tinnitus.

I think it's a coincidence it, must be due to something else...

I really encourage some people to try this and PLEASE report back how it did for you.

In a hot bath... dump in about 1/4 of a typical epsom salt bag full... or about a drinking glass full worth, to say it another way...

Then soak and enjoy for at least 15 minutes. MAKING SURE TO SUBMERGE YOUR HEAD COMPLETELY as much as you can (holding your nose of course).

This is an advanced technique for those with only small, very mild tinnitus
It has done me very good.

I use a pint per bathtub. I'm also getting ready to start using Sodium Thiosulfate not not only help detoxify, but to dechlorinate the water as well. Sodium Thiosulfate crystals are relatively cheap (10 lb for $22 on eBay), and 1 pint can dechlorinate 25,000 gallons of water. So you need very little to dechlorinate a bathtub full.

I use Epsom salts often for hot baths. I've never noticed any spikes from it.
Spikes really can come without an invitation at any time any day. sigh.

Did you notice any spikes or any improvement? This is the debatable point.

Didn't really notice any change in tinnitus, but do find the epsom salts baths relaxing, which may indirectly help.
