Hello Everyone. I am new to this site. I have had T for years, maybe because I am a musician and sit in front of brass players and percussion, but I have had a really annoying high- pitched sound for the past few months non-stop. After laying down for awhile it goes away, but comes again when I sit up. Is this stress or maybe even a jaw-related issue? I got braces 5 months ago, but only on the front 6 teeth top and bottom. I am 50. I can't get into an ENT until February! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I am no doctor so the first thing you should do is to see a doctor/ENT first to determine if you have medical issues with your ears. There are many causes of T, some of which are related to blood circulation, TMJ, head and/or neck problem etc. Stress can aggravate T for sure, but don't know if laying down will change your stress level a lot. It may have to do with blood circulation.
