Don't miss the opportunity to attend Tinnitus Quest's online Q&A with Dr. Susan Shore and Jon Pearson, CEO of Auricle on October 13. We will hear the latest about the Susan Shore Device.
There are a couple of books on TRT that are designed for clinicians, but none designed for patients. That's because TRT requires a clinician; there is no such thing as "self-TRT." There is a website that has some "TRT exercises" - but it contains some significant errors. Indeed, the explanation of habituation (which is the goal of TRT) there is incorrect and grossly misleading. So I choose not to give out the URL. Moreover, there really are no exercises to do in TRT - so the entire concept as presented on that site is worrisome to me.
As you know, I am a huge fan of TRT, when it is done right. But to tell you the truth, if I lived in Sweden, I'd make an appointment with Gerhard Andersson in Linköping for CBT and forget about TRT for the time being. Gerhard is highly experienced and extraordinarily good at what he does.
Hope this helps.
