Hi

I have had moderate tinnitus for many years. Bothersome at start and when nervous for making it worse. Normally I have lived well.

4 days ago I visited a western show in a western park in Sweden with my son. I haven't been there for more than 30 years. It was a lot of people there. It became really loud shooting and speech amplified by a loudspeaker. I had lost my plugs during the day. People around me put fingers in their ears. I couldn't go away for I needed to have an eye on my son. When I came home I wake up in the middle of the night and had a loud tone in my left ear. Like a stream whistle.

Help! Feel stupid, afraid and have panic.

You have had mild tinnitus for a while, chances are you just aggravated it.
It could take some time, but with a bit of luck it should return back to your baseline...avoid going to loud places for a while and protect your ears so they get a chance to heal.
Good luck.
