Very Strange (Pure, Unbearable Tinnitus in Left Ear, Yet It Sounds Normal When I Do This)

      Tinnitus Since:
      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Uncertain, now very somatic, started with noise?
      ...pure, unbearable tinnitus in the left ear - and yet it sounds normal and "as usual" when I rub my thumb and index finger against each other and hold them to one of my ears.

      Any explanations?

      Noise Induced
      I'm assuming the sound your fingers make mask the tinnitus sound. I have high pitched tinnitus and I do it myself. That said, if you have hearing loss in the higher frequencies, it may not work as well.
