Waking Up with a Clogged Left Ear During Summer

Summer is here and every morning when I wake up my left ear is completely blocked. Sometimes it will return to normal quite quickly, other days I'm stuck with it all day.

There's a faint hiss but nothing too bothersome. It's just the feeling of pressure/clogginess that's annoying. What could it be? Allergies? I do suffer from hay fever. I've started taking Piriton antihistamines.

 

It's a late reply, but I do hope you are doing better now and got it sorted. If you haven't please consider seeing an ENT and/or getting a hearing test. Single-sided issues can turn out more problematic. Good luck!
