What Are Your Favourite Types of Posts on This Site?

I like posts that offer friendship, support, and helpful suggestions on coping methods, that suggest kindness.
Basically things that are ‘uncool.’

I dislike dismissive attitudes that suggest that the all important thing is ‘winning the argument,’
and constitute ‘self preening.’
Call me old fashioned......

 

1 posts that state fact, so not many
2 posts from people who know what I am going through
3 posts about research
4 posts with humour
5 posts about treatments, and where to get them
6 posts that are a triumph over this affliction

 

Some of my favourite posts are of
Pussycats - that make me feel all cosy inside,

and quality cartoons that give me either a smile, or a psychological insight.

Also some good one-liners.

Polls are interesting. I also like to read posts from sufferers who have loud intrusive tinnitus as I can relate to them. I don't bother reading posts that turn into arguments. Statements regarding the volume or pitch of tinnitus making no difference to the ability to habituate will annoy me. Humour is always good.

 

I like postings that describe the symptoms as precisely as possible. And postings in which the cause is "researched" as precisely as possible.

 

I notice that many members are into the research news, obviously, we all need a cure/treatment.

Also:
Success stories.
Pussycat pictures.
Habituation.
Coping methods.
Support.
Pussycat pictures.
Medical notes.
Location shots.
Fav music.
Fav films.
(....er.....did I mention pussycats yet..?)

Some days I would just like to chat to other folks, not necessarily about tinnitus and related aspects.

The posts I like best are the more personal ones, where we can actually learn something about what makes other people tick.

Okay - I’ll admit it - I’m probably nosey.

I guess it is the virtually untapped social aspect of the membership.
(.....er.....did I just hear @Bill Bauer screaming..?)

 

For me, it is "horror stories" about what had caused tinnitus to come back or to spike. I am trying to learn from those stories.
