      Tinnitus Since:

      unknown
I read an article that said if you pinch your nose closed and blow out and the pulsatile tinnitus stops, it is venous in nature.

1- What have you done to temporarily stop the pulsatile tinnitus?
2- What is "venous in nature"?

      Hi, Mickey 123,

Well, I tried that, but it didn't work for me! I have tried pressing on the area around my ear and on my neck, but nothing stops my pulsatile tinnitus. I have also tried that technique where you put your hands behind your head and tap on the back of your skull. That didn't work, either.

Venous in nature means that your pulsating originates in a vein, or has something to do with a vein. For most of us with PT, it is considered a vascular condition.

The best things that help my PT are diet, exercise, and keeping my blood pressure under control.

Can you share what you have tried? Has anything worked for you?
