Who Else Had Their Onset While Sleeping?

Just wondering how many of us had their tinnitus onset while sleeping.

For me... I went to sleep in total silence and woke up in the middle of the night because of a nightmare and I had with tinnitus, then I went to sleep again.

Then I woke up the next morning with a blocked left ear and ear ringing.

Me too.
Slept with no tinnitus whatsoever, I woke up with tinnitus in the morning. Nothing of interest happened the night before or the month before for that matter. No problem with the ears (blocked feeling etc) in the morning.
If I had to answer, I'd say a slight ischemic episode during sleep. Just a far fetched guess. Snoring, sleep apnea, dunno.

yeah i feel yah...mine was pretty calm last nite...went to sleep and when i awoke it was pretty distinct...probably the worst day i have had since the first week....its calmed down a bit but not as well as it was yesterday...going to be a long day

Me too, I fell asleep with no tinnitus and I woke up with the ringing head. But in my case many things happened before I fell asleep/fainted.

Me too, although I had ear fullness and headaches before the T came.

I am really guessing that we first noticed the tinnitus at night or in the morning because that is usually the quietest time we experience.

I have one anecdote related to sleeping: I fainted awhile ago while getting a shot - I am not good around needles . Anyway, when I woke up from fainting a had a few moments that where I had no tinnitus - I am guessing it was because I had no blood in my head, but it was a peaceful few moments .

I did. I already had ear pain the days before. I still remember it was 6.50 AM on 4th may 2014 waking up with a super loud T in my right ear. Louder than all the beeps I've had from going to bars in the past.

Thats also true, but in my case its was very silent when i went to sleep, it was very silent... no fan, or AC, noise.
just blissful and peaceful silence, then i went to sleep, i woked up from a nightmare and there was a huge roaring haha

Excellent question. That happened to me too after I combined some medication with supplements over a period of around 4 days. Very stupid of me to do that.
