What the actual fuck. I started massaging the base of my skull and my ears spontaneously recovered like 60%

It's only bc I massaged the base of my skull which for some reason triggered ear drum spasms at the pace of a geiger counter. Hmm

I really wish I could get a clear cut answer on whether or not sound distortions fade but I know I cant. I just want to live a normal life

I spend my days replaying my favorite songs in my head the way they used to sound. Before sound distortions began to mangle them.

It's genuinely absurd how happy and lucky I was prior to the onset of H. It's the only reason I want to kill myself. I cant stand seeing sadness in my loved one's eyes anymore. Even my dog's. I cant do anything anymore.

Dysacusis is going away a little... should I have hope? I'm not as sensitive to certain sounds as I was last night or the past few days

If this prednisone doesnt resolve the diplacusis/dysacusis like effects I'm gonna be deeply upset...

It probably won't be long before I'm dead if things do not get better. I wanted to live but life is no longer enjoyable

I genuinely want to kill myself. I have no hope for a cure for dyascusis

Dysacusis happens when your brain can’t interpret sound cause of hearing damage, so the hope is regenerative medicine.

    Tinnitus Since:
    2019 / worse Nov 2020 / H since Dec 2020
    Cause of Tinnitus:
    Unknown/Noise
Tinnitus entered my life in the spring of 2019 for unknown reasons but I kind of didnt care about it. It was so quiet. Starting in November 2020 however I started getting tons of new tinnitus sounds, which I was anxious about but these sounds ended up dying down. Starting in the beginning of december however I developed loudness hyperacusis, aka dysacusis. Music was my life and my true passion, now I don't have that anymore.
