2-3 glasses of wine or shots of scotch almost completely silence my tinnitus -- but the next day it comes back as bad as it gets. I've given up on alcohol for now.

No acoustic trauma, just ototoxicity. Nevertheless, I'm having in-depth auditory testing done next week. Thanks!
