And I notice my ears hum afterwards but thought it was just temporary, maybe it's making me permanently worse?! No one can say for sure.

  I also get a weird very low buzz/hum sometimes, and have from the beginning of my T onset 7 months ago. But lately, they have been lower and more far apart so I think they will go away eventually.

  I think in my case it has something to do with either the hyperacusis or the benzo I am taking.....or both

  Its starting to become a major hindrance. Like it bothers me for hours afterwards. Also makes my H worse. I need a car. I'm tired of using earplugs lol

Tinnitus has definitely worsened. I think people need to be more proactive with protection. I take buses/metro daily for work

  I will never take the bus again after my most recent spike was caused from a bus intercom. Gave me a new tone. Thankfully healed but I won't do it again. Looking into getting a car myself.
