I suppose it's just luck of the draw. My partner, for example, hasn't been sick in the 6+ years we've been together. Yet I am sick all the time. It's not fair, but that's life hey. Anyway, I hope you're okay @twa, you seem a bit up and down at the moment. x x

Your husband probably already has tinnitus but his brain is able to ignore it. If he searches for it, something I don't advise then he's likely to hear it. Then he will know how debilitating tinnitus can be as it will, get a lot louder. Be under no illusion your husband is playing with fire. Not being aware of the tinnitus at the moment has nothing to do with luck because it's already there!
