I have ear distortion with certain sounds that comes and goes. Don't really understand it. There could be many causes such as ear wax, ear wax on ear drum, ear drum scarring, etc. See an ENT or audiologist about the potential cause and they may be able to help.
I have the broken microphone connection sound over certain "s" vowels. Seems to wax and wane but on the whole it's tending to dissipate overall, in fact it's been absent for a while now. Absolutely resulting from noise or benzos but seems temporarily worse (few days) when exposed.
I've distortions in my left ear as well. I can't tie them to a certain sound but, just as yours, mine, among other sounds, are triggered by the sound of my own voice, too.
